Skaidrus, truputį kvepiantis kamparu skystis, blogai tirpsta vandenyje, gerai – organiniuose tirpikliuose, degaluose. Pagrindinė kovinė būsena – garai ir stambus aerozolis. Lydymosi temperatūra -80 °C, virimo temperatūra 190 °C. Organizmą veikia pro kvėpavimo takus, odą, virškinimo traktą. Žalojamasis poveikis pasireiškia kur kas greičiau nei VX. Sąlyginė mirtinoji dozė įkvėpus 0,03 mg·min/l, pro odą (garai) – 7,5–10 mg·min/l, pro odą (lašai) – 1,4 mg/kg, pro virškinimo traktą – 0,14 mg/kg; ribinė dozė – 0,0003 mg·min/l.
